Carpet Edging:

Carpet Edging, Carpet Binding or Carpet Whipping. Whatever name you know this process by, it is a service we can offer!

We have our own machine for Carpet Edging in both of our stores. Whether you have left over pieces from a carpet that you’ve had fitted. or if you’ve purchased a remnant to be made into a custom sized rug. We can do it right here in store, often while you wait.

Having our own machine means that we can get this service done as quickly and efficiently as possible. Since we don’t have to contact an outside company to collect and then redeliver your carpet back to us. Because of this there is also much less potential for delays or confusion to your order.

We can edge most types of domestic carpets, with the exception of woven Wilton carpets. We have a wide selection of edging yarns available for you to choose from. Yarns can be selected to either match, or contrast your carpet.

We can also edge shaped carpets as long as any internal corners are not too small. This can be checked and discussed in store when you bring your carpet in.

If you have left over carpet from a previous purchase or even from elsewhere, we don’t mind. We’ll edge this for you too. So don’t be put off, if the bits you have lying around were not originally from ourselves.

We also offer this service out to those in the trade. So if you are a local Carpet Fitter, or know anyone who is, then please let them know!

Prices start from just £2.50 per linear metre (£0.80p per Foot) on small pieces, and £4 per linear metre on larger pieces or £5 per linear metre on shaped carpets, such as for a caravan.

Carpet Edging Process:

1. The carpet is selected & inspected.

2. The carpet is squared off & cut to the shapes / sizes required.

3. The corners are rounded slightly & the edges trimmed to allow for a neat finish.

4. The edging process begins on our machine.

5. This continues around the perimeter of the Carpet.

6. The finished carpet is rolled up ready for collection or delivery.
